A New Face: Book Snippets {5}

Tuffs of curly blonde hair, a big smile and bright blue eyes. A little shy but obvious in his interest. He walks over and after two weeks of seeing her says, "That guy in the lab, was that your boyfriend?" Once he gets the answer, all he can do is roll his eyes and take his seat across from her.

1 ... 2 ... 3 ... 4 ... 5 ... 6 ... 7 ... 8 ... 9 ... 10. That's how long it took. Count to ten. Out loud. It gets uncomfortable. And it goes by so much slower than you think 10 seconds would go by. 1 ... 2 ... 3 ... 4 ... 5 ... 6 ... 7 ... 8 ... 9 ... 10. That's how long it took to break my heart and he didn't even know he was doing it.


Intrigued yet? I wear an Italian horn: the corno. I wear it to keep away the stares and the curses that haunt my family.
