Apologies: Book Snippets {2}

To everyone whose been a faithful reader since I started this little blog last July, I'm sorry.

I feel like I've been such a pathetic blogger lately. I have a writing calendar filled with my ideas to share with you but just haven't allowed myself the extra time to create the posts. Instead I've been giving my time over to my other writing projects and jobs, and once I get freed from those I have 0 inspiration for blogging ...

but I've have 110% percent inspiration for story-telling, which is what I've filled my extra fun time with lately. Creating more of my future "novel" that I'm in love with. And I hope one day you will be too.

So here's another tiny, teensy little peek. Snippets round 2.

But she wouldn’t know this, because this particular girl, has never spoke to me and has never been in the same room as me. I quite frankly would be surprised if she knew my last name. That is hardly a sufficient basis to make assumptions about someone on. Correct?

The halls are the same, the same teachers sitting and smiling when you walk in, cafeteria on your left, classrooms on your right. I mean I didn’t expect for music to start playing or cartoon birds to fly over my head, but something different would have been nice.
......................

“Did that just happen?” I managed to squeak out.
Jayla was already on the phone with the local police department.

Book Snippets {1}

Snippets from one of my older "idea books" ... I'm starting to piece together.
  ................................................

    In high school I loved a boy named Rick. I loved talking to him. He'd give me funny nicknames. I always loved telling him he was crazy because he'd come back with, "Crazy about you." I'm sure he used that line on all his girlfriends but at the time it made me feel special. I had best friends who happened to be boys and I thought they were incredibly adorable. I had plenty of awkward moments. And plenty of bad boys who liked to show up at my house unannounced.
  ................................................

    After that day it was always a little awkward between the two of us. I’d always catch him staring at me in History or he’d catch me. We never really talked about liking each other. It was just a sort of understood. My problem was I had two guys on my mind and didn’t know which one was in the lead.

   ................................................

    Driving on the interstate sucks when you have a small car. I get so nervous. Semi-trucks always think they can get away with anything on the road, especially if they’re driving next to a VW Beetle. Don’t you hate it? I wish I lived in Europe for the simple fact that all large trucks have to stay in the right lanes. Not here. They mostly just ride your ass until they force you to move over, because for some reason they believe they live above the law and can go thirty miles over the speed limit. I say semis are good for three things: kicking up rainwater, causing accidents, and pissing me off.
 .................................................

    He was repulsive at first, until I talked to him more. I agreed to comply with conversation only because he had country-boy good looks and amazing style, so it was worth at the very least a nod of acknowledgement.
